High Precision Thin Film Wraparound Chip Resistor offers Wide Resistance Range for Military and Aerospace Applications
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced a new high precision thin film wraparound chip resistor that delivers higher power ratings in smaller case sizes and is designed for industrial, military, and aerospace applications. With a wide resistance value range, thisPEP resistorincreases reliability by reducing the mechanical stress on solder joints and is optimized for precision applications requiring low noise and high stability over time and temperature.
This resistor is available in four case sizes from 0402 to 1206 and features a high-power rating of 1 W in the 1206 case size (without cooling under the PCB). The PEP offers a wide resistance range from 39 W to 900 kW, with tolerances down to ± 0.05 %, and operates over a broad temperature range of -55 °C to +155 °C. Combined with low noise of < -35 dB, a low voltage coefficient of < 0.01 ppm/V, and load-life stability of ± 0.1 % typical for 2,000 hours at +70 °C, this device’s typical specifications exceed the requirements of MIL-PRF-55342G.
